Intranets are accessible only to employees granted access to the network. Intranets have many advantages, including improving communication and collaboration, sharing information, and reinforcing brand values.

What is an Extranet?

On the other hand, an extranet, by definition, is an intranet, but this time, the communication network is open to external parties, for example, key clients, business partners, suppliers, and so on. Extranets are handy as they facilitate communication, collaboration, and intercompany relationship. They also simplify project management.
